Related Information :
Polyethylene fiber comes in different types, including low density PE (LDPE), medium density PE (MDPE), high density PE (HDPE), and ultra high molecular weight PE (UHMWPE). The strength and density of the fiber depends on the amount of branching in the ethylene polymer units. Polyethylene fibres have a low self-weight and are able to float in water. Like other polymer fibres, they can only take tension and, therefore, are used solely for tensile applications like ropes and weaves. When the density of the PE is enlarged, strong fibres originate like PE-HD UHMPE (Dyneema). Polyethylene fiber, also known as polythene (PE), is a manufactured plastic fiber with many uses:
Properties
Polyethylene fiber is lightweight, resistant to chemicals and water, and has high ductility. It's also a thermoplastic material that can be recycled.
Uses
Polyethylene fiber is used in a variety of applications, including:
Marine components: Used in the manufacture of marine components, piping systems, and liquid dispensing equipment
Outdoor furniture fabric: A popular choice for outdoor furniture fabric
Geotextiles: Used in geotextiles
Protective clothing: Used in protective clothing and shield technology
Storage Conditions:
Airtight sealed, avoid light, and keep dry at room temperature.
